The Engadin is a beautiful habitat that we want to take care of. Especially as hosts, the protection of our nature and its precious resources is very important to us. Looking beyond our own backyard shows that we can only lead a good and fulfilling life in harmony with nature. That is why respect for nature’s resources is a cornerstone of our everyday work, both as hosts and as organic farmers. We have been living this philosophy for four generations.<\/p>\n

At Hotel Baer&Post, we are committed to treating our resources with respect. This includes focal points such as mindful consumption, sustainable production and conscious energy use. However, our understanding of sustainability goes even further. Wherever possible, we avoid producing waste. The resulting waste is separated by our employees and disposed of accordingly. Any leftover food is sent to the Zernez biogas plant where it is converted into new energy in a CO2-neutral way.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

The entire lighting system in our hotel, both inside and outside, is equipped with modern LED lamps. We take care to avoid unnecessary packaging materials when shopping. We deliberately avoid portion packaging, especially at our breakfast buffet.<\/p>\n

Wherever possible, products from the region and Switzerland are used in our kitchen. For example, the potatoes come from the Engadin and the canton of Graub\u00fcnden. We also emphasise wines from the B\u00fcndner Herrschaft region on our wine list. We source our delicious coffee from the Engadine coffee roastery in Zuos and our dairy products come from Kataria Engiadinaisa and the dairy in Pontresina.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t
